A contemporary adaptation of a Northwest Lodge utilizing sustainable / energy efficient building components and systems that include Structural Insulated panel roof system, Insulated Concrete Form foundation / basement walls, and hydronic in-floor radiant heating. The home was designed with a small building footprint to minimize tree removal and site disturbance, while satisfying the owner’s program for 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in a well organized layout of 2500 SF. The reverse plan concept elevates the main level living areas over the lower level guest suites to capture dramatic golf course and natural lake views over a grassy knoll located on the site. Sweeping views of the 7th fairway are embraced through an operable accordian style window wall that provides open access to an elevated outdoor dining terrace.
